  11. After 40 minutes of Gershwin punctuated by periods of meditative silence,
  12. I got through to a USR technician who told me that USR is no longer
  13. e-mailing the USRSDL.EXE file to flash-update the Courier modem.

  15. Apparently someone in the government is worried that some crank at the
  16. North Pole may get hold of the 33.6 code and achieve world domination.

  18. Meanwhile, you can get it from USR via U.S. mail.

  20. If anyone would care to e-mail me a copy, I'd be grateful. As an
  21. attachment -- uuencoded, binhexed or MIME-encoded -- is best for me.
